“When we were choosing a berry for CocoBerry, it wasn’t hard to settle on the blueberry. It’s beautiful, familiar, and well known for all its healthy benefits” says CocoBerry chemist, Annie Graham. She continues, “CocoBerry uses a cold-pressed, unrefined blueberry seed oil. This allows us to take advantage of all the antioxidants, the tocopherols, carotenoids, and omegas. It is very good for your scalp and hair.” As the name suggests there is a great deal of coconut in every CocoBerry formula. “Coconut is another familiar and interesting ingredient. We can do a lot with coconut in cosmetics and haircare. The fatty acids from this plant keep these products emollient and hydrating without being heavy or greasy. We found this to be a very important consideration for curly hair. It needs the moisture, but also the bounce. Using coconut and berry was a great choice - it is a very nourishing and fun combination.”
